OverLocked and Combo-Lock
✎Why’d you guys make this group? Huh?
Well for starters, we didn’t want CL to die out because the mothergroup is unmanned. It became abundantly clear with the announcement of CL's closing that the members are not happy. Well! We want to help everyone continue to develop their characters, to continue leveling in the absence of the original group. We also want to create a more democratic environment for members to interact. A more hands-on experience. And most of all, we want to continue having fun!
✎What is this stuff about Combo-Lock? And how does it relate with OverLocked?
For clarification, OverLocked is a member-run group that began running ever since combo-lock closed. We are focused on providing fun events and activities for members that combo-lock failed to provide. We are considered our own group that runs our own story and guidelines that would drastically vary in comparison to combo-lock but uses various concept and ideas found in combo-lock.
✎Will we be adhering to the already established world plot of Combo-Lock?
Yes and No. We'll be scratching out the Ishin and Royals, and Glacia's and Maria's appearance, because that was a complete game changer. There is not snow everywhere, there's no threat of invasion, and Khadroma still stands as far as we're concerned. All other events are canon of course!
✎What will happen to OL or in general if CL reopens?
OL will continue to run while CL is open for any CL members who wish to participate our events! Regardless of what happens to CL, we will strive to continue keeping this group alive well that is if members want us to continue running this group. 
OL will not be running with CL, as we are considered separate entities and groups. Which also means we do not follow the same story as CL does.

- If you are a CL member but not a member of OL however, you will not be able to participate in our events for EXP, SP, and/or prizes and may be barred from any OL activities including chat events.
:bademoticon: Current CL Members
Current CL members who wish to stay in CL will have to fill out a new app and reapply to the group, so mods can clear out inactive members. (This means rejoining CL.) Members who are current CL members will have priority over other apps in the reopening, but we are not sure if this means auto-re-acceptance.
:bademoticon: CL Mods
CL Mods have no authority in OverLocked, if they wish to join OverLocked. Only OL mods have the authority to manage OverLocked. This includes having protectors, leaders, generals, and teachers. They are welcome to join OverLocked, but bringing their characters' titles of leadership are not welcomed. We will ask the CL mod to demote their character to regular status and adjust their history along with it.

Former CL members will have to apply for the opening and fill out a new app as well! Being a member of OverLocked does not guarantee acceptance into CL if you wish to rejoin along with the others!

However if current OL members just wish to stay in OL, this is not a requirement or mandatory aka OL members are allowed to stay in OL even if they do not wish to join CL.
We do not kick our OL members.
And we understand if there are reasons you do not wish to rejoin the CL.

Joining OverLocked
✎Is this group open to the public?
No, it is not. But we will be opening April 4-18th. Please check the announcement journal for more details on how to apply for our public opening!
But if you have friends in this group, you could always try ask them to invite you into our group.
✎I’m a member of Combo-Lock and I’d like to join Overlocked. What do I do?
Okay here’s what you do! You click "Join this group." Include a link to your CL app and your ID number. We'll admit you right away.
✎Will you be admitting former CL members here?
Yes, now OverLocked will accept former or ex-CL members in the group. Please send us a join request with your CL app (or an OL app if you deleted your old one) with your ID number in the join request.
✎Who is considered a former or ex-CL member?
These are CL members who were once members of CL but have officially left the main group combo-lock, leaving the group entirely. (On the registry, they are members who are on the ex-CL tab)
✎I've joined the group! Now what?
Fill out our OL APP! (If it's a new app with new art, you will get full EXP credit for it! Copy and pasting old artwork onto the OL app will now not earn you any credit--you had your chance...)
If you don't want to do that, then you can start submitting art or writing! Start socializing in the chats, post on the RP Central journal.
And answer our Skype/AU survey tell us what AU you'd like us to host while filling it out and join our Skype Chat.
Character Creation and Development
✎ Can I use a character from another group?
Yes! You are allowed to use an OC from another group as long as you adapt that character to OverLocked and the OverLocked universe. ✎I’m making a new character for OverLocked. What is the general rule of thumb for powers?

✎Can my character have pets?
Yes, you can have pets, any amount of pets you would like in this group, as long as the monster pets you have are bronze rank and yeah can be pet-able. Otherwise, sorry no. Of course you can always make your own monster pet too and submit it to the group.
✎Can I have more than one Character?
Yes! Go check the Shop Journal for more details on how you can get NPCs and Levelable OCs as there are requirements on how to attain them

Please check the Registry in the OL member tab or the OL NPC tab to find out who are available characters to RP with in the group. Those who are highlighted in dark grey have left the group. The OverLocked gallery does not have all of them.Leveling, Contracting, and Submissions
✎Are there submission rules?
Yes, and they correspond with the Deviantart submission rules. We will allow the content that Deviantart allows, but we will require Mature warnings for any excessive blood/gore or sexual content. We will not completely bar mature content from this group, as was the case for the mothergroup. go wild //shot
✎Will the Leveling and Contracting system stay in place?
Yes. We will be grading artwork using the same leveling criteria and adding it to the OL registry.
However, your characters will be able to level but under the new improved OL EXP system, which is adapted for the current NPC system, and allows 3 available Levelable OCs members can obtain.
✎Does OL EXP transfer to CL, if CL were to reopen in the future?
No, OverLocked now has a new EXP system. As we have been told CL will not transfer EXP from OverLocked to Combo-Lock, meaning CL mods will EXP everything members submitted to Combo-Lock, and members must resubmit their artwork to Combo-Lock in order to obtain EXP. CL Mods have decided not to EXP any submission made during the time CL closed and until CL Reopens without notifying us.
OverLocked will now disregard Combo-Lock's EXP system with a newly enhanced one that benefits both member and mod in leveling.
✎If I get Bonus EXP from events or other activities, does it transfer over to CL?
No, it would not transfer over, any bonus SP, EXP or items you obtained in OL would stay here in this group.
✎How come my contract partner did not get contract EXP for such and such?
Basically your contract partner only get Contract EXP for gallery submissions that are new submissions!
✎Can I have more than one Contract?
You, the member, can have more than one contract partner! But your character can only have one contract partner at a time. So for every levelable character you have you can contract them... but no two-timing please. We have no idea how you can split your soul up anyhow lol.✎Can I contract with my friend before I join the group ?
Yes, you can. However beware that, if you get accepted and your friend doesn't, or the other way around, the contract will instantly be canceled. ✎Should my art be submitted to the Sketch/Finished Color/Finished Monochrome Folder?
That really depends on what category you categorize it under. (Up to the member to decide) Mods will only give art depending where the member submits it, so if art was submitted to Finished Color/Finished Monochrome/Event Folder you would get EXP under the General Art EXP guidelines. If you submit it to the Sketch folder, it will be given only 20 EXP per OC if we assume it's a sketch and not lineart.RP, Events, and Activity
✎If I was an inactive member would I get kicked from OL?
No, we do not currently kick our members based on activity. We also do not have activity checks as events in this group are optional. But even just answering a poll here and there counts as activity. So fill out those polls and tell us you're alive and kicking. However mods do make lots of effort to make these events, opting out on all of them hurts our kokoros ;u;
✎I have a neat idea for an event or feature for the group! Where can I suggest my ideas to the group?
Suggestion doc, my OL friends, the suggestion doc. Spam all of the ideas there, so we will never loose them or forget them.
✎I want to host an event in this group. Can I? And how do I get started?
Of course you can host an event! We are a member-run group, run by members. Please run an idea by us via note, chat, or even on skype. We'd be happy to help you or set up a date here for you in the journal! (Note: Members who host a non-casual battle rp event will obtain 10 SP for every OL member in attendance!)
✎I'm not a member of OverLocked, but I am a current or former CL member or a non-CL member and would like to RP here. Can I?
Only OverLocked members are now allowed to RP in the group, as we feel that many events should be enjoyed only be members!.
✎Can I test run a NPC or Levelable OC in RP before I submit an OL App?
Yes, members are allowed to do so in casual RP. It is not allowed in official Battle RP Events. We can't stop you privately though.
However if you do test run your character in official chat events, we expect you to make the character app! And you must comment in the Shop Journal to inform us you're making a new character!
✎ I received SP from RPing in an Event. Can I give all of that SP to one OC if I have multiple levelable OC's or do I have to split it?
Yes, you are allowed to give all the SP you receive to one OC or distribute the SP amount to your ocs. However only OCs who participated in the RP event are eligible to receive the SP reward.
- So for example, Fort has three levelable OCs: Lily, Claude, and Yulion. But during an official event, she only RP'ed Lily and Claude in a RP event, which means if she received SP from this RP event, she can only give Lily and/or Claude SP; Yulion is not eligible in obtaining any SP reward.
